Il tipo di attività didattica che normalmente si svolge nei corsi tenuti dalla docente ha la natura di un Laboratorio in cui si studia e si sperimenta attraverso l’approfondimento delle problematiche che si presentano al musicista che voglia oggi affrontare l’esecuzione del repertorio pre-rinascimentale. Si tratta di un laboratorio anche perché durante le quattro ore del mattino, tutti i partecipanti sono coinvolti attivamente in lezioni collettive. Particolare attenzione verrà posta alla conoscenza del contesto storico (fondamentale per ricostruire la mentalità che informa il repertorio), alla lettura diretta delle fonti originali (resa possibile attraverso alcune lezioni di notazione), alla comparazione con eventuali fonti parallele (in alcuni casi studio), ai problemi di strumentazione e ornamentazione, ai problemi della musica ficta, all’analisi testuale e al rapporto testo-musica.
Il repertorio scelto è quello delle chansons e dei mottetti che Guillaume Du Fay (1397-1474) e di altri compositori italiani o franco-fiamminghi coevi tra cui Antonius Romanus (maestro della Cappella Ducale di Venezia all’inizio del Quattrocento), Antonio da Cividale, Cristoforo da Feltre, Johannes Brassart, Gilles Binchois.
Gli studenti potranno anche proporre repertorio di loro interesse.
Sarà messo a disposizione per gli studenti un liuto medievale e un organetto portativo.

Nel pomeriggio saranno possibili lezioni individuali, attività per gruppi più ristretti o per ensemble già costituiti che intendono partecipare al corso. L’organizzazione dettagliata delle attività pomeridiane verrà indicata non appena si avrà l’elenco degli iscritti.

Una volta chiuse le iscrizioni verranno forniti materiali didattici

Prerequisiti per partecipare al corso
Non ci sono limiti di età o particolari requisiti necessari.

The teaching activity that normally takes place in my courses has in fact the nature of a laboratory:
we’ll study and experiment musical solutions, through deepening the problems that who today wants to face the execution of the pre-sixteenth century repertoire has to deal with.
During the four hours of the morning, all participants are actively involved in collective lessons. Particular attention will be paid to knowledge of the historical context (fundamental for reconstructing the mentality that informs the repertoire), to the direct reading of the original sources (made possible through some notation lessons), to the comparison with any parallel sources (in some cases studies), to the problems of instrumentation and ornamentation, to the problems of musica ficta, to textual analysis and the text-music relationship.
The subject of the laboratory will be: chansons and motets composed by Guillaume Du Fay (1397-1474) and other contemporary Italian or Franco-Flemish composers including Antonius Romanus (master of the Ducal Chapel in Venice at the beginning of the fifteenth century), Antonio da Cividale, Cristoforo da Feltre, Johannes Brassart, Gilles Binchois.
Students will also be able to propose repertoire of their interest.

From 15:00 to 16:30
In the afternoon, individual lessons, activities for smaller groups or for fixed ensembles that intend to participate in the course will be possible. The detailed organization of the afternoon activities will be indicated as soon as the list of participants is available.
From 16:30 to 18:00
Ensemble music, open also to students of other classes.
Participants who would like further information on the matter, or who have special requests, are invited to contact the teacher directly after completing their registration.
Prerequisites to attend the course
There are no age limits or special requirements.
